Time:2026-04-14 Views

The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held in three phases from April 15 to May 5 at the Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Eight enterprises from Longquan will make their appearances intensively in the second and third phases. Recently, all participating enterprises have been busy with preparations in full swing, and an foreign trade "battle" concerning orders and confidence has quietly kicked off.

Preparing for the Canton Fair 1

On April 13, in the sample exhibition hall of Longquan Oujiang Celadon Co., Ltd., Ye Baomei, the sales manager, was busy organizing exhibition samples. Pieces of celadon with novel shapes and warm glaze colors were neatly arranged, very eye-catching. "The Canton Fair is not only a platform for receiving orders, but also an important stage for us to showcase our R&D strength and understand overseas demand," Ye Baomei chatted with reporters about her exhibition preparation experience while arranging the samples.

Based on last year's exhibition experience, the enterprise has specially optimized the structure of its exhibition products this year. "Last year, we mainly brought cups such as mugs, with a relatively single category. After communicating with overseas customers, we found that they have a strong demand for tableware products and prefer innovative styles based on traditional celadon," Ye Baomei said. This year, the enterprise has enriched the product categories and focused on launching a variety of plates. By combining celadon glaze and ash glaze, adding floral patterns and gilded edges, the products not only retain the charm of Longquan celadon, but also fit the aesthetics and usage habits of the overseas market. "This time, we aim to further explore the overseas market, deepen cooperation with old customers, and meet more new customers," she said full of expectation.

On the other side, Jiangshi Swords is also going all out for the exhibition. In the exhibition hall, Ye Biyi, the sales manager, picked up a uniquely designed sword and told reporters that it is the new product "Horse-Handle Sword" specially made for this Canton Fair, and also a "trump card" to expand the European and American markets. "We gained many European and American customers at last year's Canton Fair, so we are more confident this year," Ye Biyi introduced. Coinciding with the Year of the Horse, the enterprise integrates horse elements into the sword design by combining the demand and cultural characteristics of the European and American markets. "This style once appeared in European and American film and television dramas, making it easier to be recognized by local customers."

It is reported that Jiangshi Swords has prepared more than 30 new products for this time. Together with last year's new models, the total number of new products on display reaches 50 to 60. All are positioned for the European and American markets, retaining the cultural heritage of Longquan swords while taking into account local usage habits, striving to make this thousand-year-old craft truly go global.

Preparing for the Canton Fair 3

It is worth mentioning that this year's Canton Fair features numerous highlights with four characteristics: "new, high-quality, specialized and practical". It has added 9 new exhibition zones, with the number of pre-registered buyers exceeding 210,000, and the number of leading purchasing enterprises increasing by 30% year-on-year, undoubtedly bringing broad business opportunities to Longquan enterprises. The 8 participating enterprises from Longquan have secured 17 booths, covering various categories such as daily-use ceramics, gifts and premiums, furniture, toys, etc. Among them, 8 are brand booths, a vivid reflection of the brand strength of Longquan's characteristic industries.

In recent years, Longquan has continuously deepened the "Swords and Celadon Going Global" campaign, issued a number of supporting policies, and provided subsidies for enterprises to participate in exhibitions, effectively reducing their exhibition costs. During the preparation for this Canton Fair, the Longquan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology took the initiative to strive for high-quality exhibition resources, build a "bridge" for enterprises to expand overseas markets, and help them stabilize orders, expand markets and boost confidence.
